4. Do you like adaptations?

I am thinking about giving away a paperback copy of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Other Stories (Dover Thrift Editions) and a DVD copy of the movie adaptation Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci (directed by Tim Burton) during Something Wicked Strikes in October. Sounds good, right?

 5. The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane (Sleepy Hollow) by Alex Irvine releases tomorrow.
Book Description: “I am Ichabod Crane, born in the year 1747. It seems this is the year 2013 Anno Domini, and I have been given new life—how, I know not; why, I know not. I will discern the truth—if, that is, I can keep my head.”
In "Sleepy Hollow," a supernatural twist on Washington Irving's classic short story, Ichabod Crane has been pulled two-and-a-half centuries through time to find that he and detective Abbie Mills are humanity's last hope in the war against evil. Passionate, intelligent, and wryly funny, Crane has always used journals to collect thoughts and documents that may prove useful later, and The Secret Journal of Ichabod Crane offers an unprecedented look at the battle also raging inside his fascinating mind.
On the pages within, Crane shares new memories of the American Revolution; more amusing reflections on modern-day phenomena, from the Internet to Election Day; and private thoughts about Abbie, Katrina, and others. He also includes hidden case files; secret Freemason puzzles; selections from George Washington's mysterious Bible; and photos, letters, and drawings he has collected along the way. Filled with detail about past battles and vanquished monsters, as well as clues about those he and Abbie have yet to face, this journal is not just the ultimate repository for fans, but the key to Sleepy Hollow’s future—and the world’s.

6. No Justice! No Peace! Free Frank Irving!

Am I the only one still worried about Frank Irving being incarcerated? Captain Frank Irving (Orlando Jones), a police captain of the Westchester County Police, has been falsely accused of murder. With Abby and Ichabod knee-deep in troubles of their own, who's left to help Frank with his case? #Sleepyheads may have to take to Twitter again.

7. Sleepy Hollow: Children of the Revolution, a television show tie-in novel, by Keith R.A. DeCandido will be released on September 30, 2014.

Book Description: When Ichabod Crane, a soldier from the Colonial Army, is resurrected from his grave, more than two centuries after he was killed in battle, he partners with Lieutenant Abbie Mills of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department to fight the evil forces that have taken hold of the town.

It’s a cold day in January, and Ichabod visits Patriots Park for a moment of peace. Instead, he receives a disturbing vision from his wife, Katrina, in which she delivers a cryptic but urgent message: he must retrieve the Congressional Cross that he was awarded by the Second Continental Congress for bravery in action. There’s just one problem: Ichabod was killed before he ever received the medal, and he is unsure where it might be. Together Ichabod and Abbie set out to uncover the mystery of the cross and its connection to George Washington and his secret war against the demon hordes. They soon learn that a coven of witches is also seeking the cross in order to resurrect their leader, Serilda, who was burned at the stake during the Revolutionary War. Now they must locate the cross before the coven can bring back Serilda to exact her fatal revenge on Sleepy Hollow.
